Merkl Protocol is a rewards distribution system designed to incentivize liquidity provision in specific trading pairs. By integrating with Merkl, we're adding another powerful source of rewards for users who provide collateral in our Smart Vaults.

How This Partnership Benefits You

When you deposit collateral into The Standard Protocol's Smart Vaults, your assets can now earn additional rewards through three key channels:

1. Trading Fees: Continue earning your share of fees from trades in Uniswap V3 concentrated liquidity pools
2. Merkl Protocol Rewards: Access additional incentives for liquidity provision in specific trading pairs
3. Gamma Strategy Rewards: Benefit from incentives offered directly to Gamma strategies

All these rewards are automatically collected and reinvested to maximize your returns through our compounding mechanism.

Real Yield Without Token Emissions

Unlike many DeFi protocols that artificially inflate yields by distributing their own governance tokens, our partnership with Merkl reinforces our commitment to generating real yield from actual market activity. This approach ensures that the yield is sustainable and based on genuine economic value rather than token inflation.

Remember that when placing collateral into yield pools, you must allocate at least 10% of any particular asset into a correlated stable pool. Our user interface makes this simple with an allocation slider ranging from 10% to 100% for the USDs/USDC pool.

• It helps build deep liquidity for USDs borrowers, supporting overall protocol stability
• It provides you with lower-risk options to mitigate impermanent loss while still offering consistent yield

1. Connect your wallet to TheStandard interface
2. Deposit your chosen collateral into your Smart Vault
3. Allocate your collateral between stable and volatile pools
4. Borrow USDs against your collateral if desired (maintaining the minimum 110% collateralization ratio)
